Fulton Market Keeps Stacking Them: Ramen-San and Aba Both Filed in March

March 29, 2026🌆 Chicago, Illinois · District 27

Two well-known Chicago restaurant concepts — Ramen-San and Aba/The Dalcy — filed new food and liquor licenses in Fulton Market in March 2026, adding to Ward 27's already dense hospitality footprint on N Green St.

Fulton Market doesn't really need more restaurants. And yet. Ramen-San filed for a retail food establishment license and a consumption-on-premises liquor license at 219 N Green St in March 2026, while Aba/The Dalcy — operating as Third Floor Restaurant LLC — filed for a retail food establishment, outdoor patio, and caterer's liquor license at 302 N Green St. Two notable concepts, one block apart, both going active in the same filing window.

Ramen-San is a Lettuce Entertain You concept that's been a fixture in Chicago's ramen scene. Aba is a Mediterranean restaurant from the same hospitality group behind Ema, with The Dalcy being its private event space component. The outdoor patio license filing suggests the Green Street location is planning for warm-weather service — which, given Fulton Market's summer foot traffic, is basically printing money.

Ward 27 covers the West Loop and Fulton Market, which has become one of the most license-dense corridors in the city. The ward logged 151 new license filings since March 15 alone — second only to the Loop-heavy Ward 34 and the Magnificent Mile's Ward 42. Data via the City of Chicago Business Licenses portal.
