Castro and Noe Valley Approved 27 New Housing Units in February
District 8 received final occupancy approval for 27 net new housing units in February 2026 โ up from an average of just 7 per month over the prior six months, and the highest monthly count since January 2025 (32 units). The anomaly is driven primarily by over-the-counter alteration permits, which accounted for 24 of the 27 units.
